abstract

this article aims at designing the mathematical model for aras dam reservoir in time operation with missions of agriculture needs safeguarding, water electric energy production and torrent controls. reservoir system relations determinate and these relations at framework of are determined and stochastic dynamic programming are calculated executive results of this model are presentation of guides that shows the amount of reservoir output is relative to reservoir primary volume and input flow in current month and input flow in the month before in timely operation, the amount of input flow in current month not determinate, so it is necessity to one flow forecasting model. in this manner with supposition of flow markov process in the long of month is used passing for probability matrix between different states of flow. the results show that the stochastic model available the more amount water to securing of agriculture and water electric uses, therefore stochastic model is preferred in stead at deterministic mode

reservoir operation rule curve of doroodzan dam using yield model

abstract regarding temporal variation of rivers discharge and demands, for suitable use of dam reservoirs stored water, application of operation rule curves is necessary. operation rules are expressed with rule curves. application of yield model is one of the methods of operation curve preparation, which correlates reservoir operation with reservoir storage volume in first period. in this study...

Optimization of Dez dam reservoir operation using genetic algorithm

Water reservoir programming studies aim to determine the final cultivated land area based on predefined agricultural models and water requirements. Dam utilization rule curve is also provided in such studies. The system of Dez dam water resources was simulated applying the basic information in order to determine the capability of its reservoir to provide the objectives of the performed plan. As...

Reservoir Operation using Combined Genetic Algorithm & Dynamic Programming for Ukai Reservoir Project

Operation of reservoirs, often for conflicting purposes, is a difficult task. The uncertainty associated with reservoir operations is further increased due to the on-going hydrological impacts of climate change. Therefore, various artificial intelligence techniques such as genetic algorithms, ant-colony optimization, fuzzy logic and mathematical optimization methods such as Linear programming, ...

Fuzzy Dynamic Programming Model for Optimal Operation of a Multipurpose Reservoir

Optimal operation of reservoir has been an active area of research for many years. Various techniques have been developed and adopted for reservoir operation incorporating the uncertainty due to stochastic nature of inflows and demands. However there is not much literature reported on models incorporating uncertainty caused due to imprecise goals and objectives. In the present paper a fuzzy opt...

An Aggregate Stochastic Dynamic Programming Model of Multi-reservoir Systems an Aggregate Stochastic Dynamic Programming Model of Multi-reservoir Systems

We present a new method of determining an operating policy for a multi-reservoir system in which the operating policy for a reservoir is determined by solving a stochastic dynamic programming model consisting of that reservoir and a 2-dimensional representation of the rest of the system. The method is practical for systems with many reservoirs because the time required to determine an operating...
